Abstract
Weimar Germany represents the historical creation of a new political solution with democratic institutions, and full development of human and social rights. Moreover,
Berlin became, alongside with Vienna, the world centre of arts and cultural creativity. Alfred Döblin's November 1918 shows a brilliant vision of the rose of the Republic after the collapse of imperial Germany, and the rule of law, facing the growing authoritarianism.
