Abstract

The book The Documents in the Table of Havana brings us closer to the recent history of Colombia to understand one of the most important political events of this century in Latin America, the signing of the Peace Agreement on December 24. November 2016 between the FARC-EP and the government of President Juan Manuel Santos, with him ended a conflict that had lasted more than sixty years and had caused thousands of victims. With this work we want to reconstruct the elements that make up the web of convergences and clashes that shaped the negotiations of the Havana Roundtable through the speeches of former President Juan Manuel Santos. The objective of this historical reconstruction is to analyze the details of a negotiation process that is destined to become a paradigm of peace processes and transitional justice The Peace Process Library has been a source of great historical value and investigation since it has brought us closer to each and every one of the phases of the process from August 7, 2010 to November 24, 2016.
